Women in Orthodontics®: The First (And So Far Only) Official Conference for women who practice orthodontics
The purpose of WIO is for women in the field of orthodontics to connect with other women who understand the challenges, rewards, and dynamics.
It’s fantastic to strive for a level professional playing field with males, but we need to recognize that we as women are unique in our own right. A different kind of support is required for us to expand our practices and give top-notch service to our patients.
It all started with a tiny online group. Now, more than 2,600 people have joined the Women in Orthodontics® Study Group since 2016. (and growing). We all came to the same conclusion after our first meeting in 2018: we needed more time to meet! So, the WIO Annual Conference was formed to showcase female physicians presenting about the challenges orthodontists encounter from a woman’s viewpoint!
We’ve gotten our own convention, at long last.
