WSSO 2022

May 6, 2022

The Washington State Society of Orthodontists wishes you a warm welcome!

Washington State Orthodontists Society is your local link to organized orthodontics in your area. Thank you if you are a member! If you aren’t already a member, please join today! Visit www2.aaoinfo.org/membership to join. Both the American Association for Orthodontics and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists provide services such as access to the latest breakthroughs in orthodontics via publications and events, practice management tools and marketing materials for its members to use. If you’re an orthodontist, the AAO is your most powerful advocate on a national level as health care continues to evolve.

WSSO Mission

Our primary goal is to provide outstanding continuing education for orthodontists and orthodontic personnel in Washington State. Secondly, we cooperate with the Washington State Dental Association and state dental specialty groups on matters of shared concern in politics and clinical practice. Lastly, we encourage connection between our members and all three levels of orthodontic organizations. Our fourth goal is to provide members with peer review consultations whenever necessary.

WSSO Annual Meeting

On June 3rd, 2021, a virtual general meeting was convened. Members and employees alike were invited to attend this free event. Infection control rules for the state of Washington have been revised by our guest speaker, Andrea Cook. Following the members-only business meeting, we adopted the proposed revisions to the WSSO Bylaws and elected new executives and board members.

We want to see you at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue on May 6, 2022, for our annual meeting. To sign up, click here.

The WSSO is a nonprofit organization with all board members serving on a voluntary basis. The board is divided into five divisions:

  1. Communications
  2. Legislative
  3. Membership
  4. Orthodontic practice and
  5. Peer review.

Please contact the WSSO through the “Contact us” page on our website if we may be of service. If you’re interested in becoming engaged, please contact me or a member of the WSSO board of directors.
